Slayer Minnow BLUE BAIT — 150mm Hardbody Lure

The Slayer Minnow is a 150mm, 15g hardbody fishing lure for predators feeding on larger baitfish. Use a steady slow roll or add twitches and pauses to vary the presentation around estuary edges, channels and shallow coastal structure.

At a glance

  • Colour: BLUE BAIT.
  • Length: 150mm.
  • Weight: 15g.
  • Lure type: hardbody minnow.
  • Pack: one lure.

Target species

  • Estuaries and shallow coastal water: flathead, mulloway (jewfish), tailor and trevally.
  • Northern estuaries and rivers: barramundi, mangrove jack and estuary cod.
  • Coastal baitfish feeders: yellowtail kingfish, queenfish and Australian salmon.

The 150mm profile suits fish feeding on larger baitfish. Match your tackle and retrieve to the target species and local conditions.

How to fish it

  • Slow roll: retrieve steadily to work the lure along an edge or past structure.
  • Twitch and pause: add short rod-tip movements, then pause before continuing the retrieve.
  • Slow trolling: work along suitable edges, adjusting your speed to maintain the lure's action.

Attach the lure to a suitable leader or lure clip and fish it as a hardbody. Match your tackle to the target species and check hooks, rings and knots regularly.

Available individually or as part of our Slayer Minnow Bundle, with Mullet, Blush and Blue Bait lures plus an orange tackle container.

Why FTP Fishing

We’re not a big corporation — we actually fish what we sell. Every lure is designed with real-world use in mind, so you can fish with confidence knowing it’s been tested where it matters.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

After saltwater use, gently rinse lures, hooks and jig heads with fresh water and allow them to dry thoroughly before storing.

Store tackle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and hot car interiors. Keep soft plastics lying straight in their original packaging, with different colours and plastic types separated to help prevent colour transfer or material reactions.

Before each session, check lures, hooks, split rings and other fittings for damage, wear or corrosion. Replace damaged components before use.

SHIPPING & RETURNS

We strive to process and ship all orders in a timely manner, working diligently to ensure that your items are on their way to you as soon as possible. Need to return something? Just let us know.
