Blaze Paddle Tail Soft Plastic Lure

Target flathead, snapper and mulloway with the Flicking The Plastics Blaze Paddle Tail. Its kicking paddle tail and rolling body action create a lifelike baitfish presentation for fishing estuaries, rivers and inshore waters.

Slow roll it across the flats or hop it along the bottom around drains and drop-offs.

Why choose the Blaze?

  • Paddle tail action: creates movement and vibration as you retrieve.
  • Natural baitfish profile: a versatile option for predators feeding on small fish.
  • Multiple retrieve options: fish it with a steady wind, gentle hops or a pause between lifts.

Target species

  • Estuaries and inshore waters: flathead, bream, snapper, mulloway (jewfish) and trevally.
  • Coastal baitfish feeders: tailor, Australian salmon and yellowtail kingfish.
  • Freshwater and tidal rivers: Australian bass, estuary perch, barramundi and mangrove jack.

Choose your lure size, jig head and retrieve to suit the species, local baitfish and fishing conditions.

How to fish it

Rig straight on a suitable jig head, matching the hook size to the lure and the weight to your depth and current.

  • Shallow flats: retrieve slowly with a steady wind.
  • Drains and drop-offs: lift, let it sink, then pause before repeating.
  • Deeper water: use enough weight to stay in contact with the lure.

Size and pack quantity

  • 85mm: 6 lures per pack.
  • 100mm: 5 lures per pack.

Why FTP Fishing

We’re not a big corporation — we actually fish what we sell. Every lure is designed with real-world use in mind, so you can fish with confidence knowing it’s been tested where it matters.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

After saltwater use, gently rinse lures, hooks and jig heads with fresh water and allow them to dry thoroughly before storing.

Store tackle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and hot car interiors. Keep soft plastics lying straight in their original packaging, with different colours and plastic types separated to help prevent colour transfer or material reactions.

Before each session, check lures, hooks, split rings and other fittings for damage, wear or corrosion. Replace damaged components before use.

SHIPPING & RETURNS

We strive to process and ship all orders in a timely manner, working diligently to ensure that your items are on their way to you as soon as possible. Need to return something? Just let us know.
